All the details of the Seafood Expo Global

After its highly successful debut at the Fira de Barcelona located on Gran Vía, the 29th edition of Seafood Expo Global will take place from April 25 to April 27, 2023.

This event is undoubtedly a great event in the sector worldwide, since in these fairgrounds, industry professionals have the opportunity to present the latest innovations in fresh and frozen seafood. Lectures and educational sessions are also offered for attendees so they can stay up to date on the latest developments and trends in the industry.

Seafood Expo Global 2023. The most important event in the seafood sector.

Estimated large economic impact

In the last edition, Seafood Expo Global was able to bring together a total of 26,703 international industry experts and 1,556 exhibiting companies from 77 different countries.

After this great success, it has been estimated that the socioeconomic impact for the industry and the Catalan capital is up to 100 million euros per year.

Greater international participation

To date, a total of 80 countries from around the world have confirmed that they will be present at the 2023 Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global. Some of the countries that will be present as exhibitors or that were not present in the previous edition , are the following: Philippines, Moldova, New Caledonia, Ivory Coast, Barbados, Serbia, Austria, Seychelles, Saudi Arabia, Gambia and Republic of Myanmar

New exhibiting companies

In this new edition, 600 new exhibiting companies will be present at Seafood Expo Global. Among which we can highlight: Grøntvedt Group, Pickenpack Seafoods GmbH, Atunes y Lomos, Pereira Productos del Mar, Blumar, North Pacific Seafood Pte Ltdn and Golden Fish Sarl

 

For Seafood Processing Global, the new exhibiting companies are Van de Velde Packaging Group, Aquatiq AS, Lineage Logistics and Activa Food Tech SAU.

 

Expansion of country pavilions

The Seafood Expo Global 2023 will feature a total of 66 regional and country pavilions. These pavilions include three new pavilions for the countries of Saudi Arabia, Australia and Seychelles and other regional pavilions for Taiwan, Japan, the United States, the Republic of Korea and the Galician region of Spain.

In addition, the pavilions of China, Portugal, the Netherlands and the Spanish regions of Catalonia and Galicia that have been in the previous edition will be expanded for this edition.

Expanded rooms for Seafood Processing Global

There will be an expansion of more than 20 percent in square meters for the dedicated room for Seafood Processing Global. This event, which is part of the Global Expo, is focused on the processing of seafood, from machinery to refrigeration and freezing equipment. It also encompasses primary and secondary processing systems as well as hygiene and quality assurance services.

Seafood Expo Barcelona: Krustagroup participation
